Service 01

A website that loads, gets found and belongs to you

Afterwards you have a site built for speed, one that looks right on every phone and that you can change yourself. Fixed price, fixed date, no subscription.

Where most company websites go wrong

Your site was put together a few years ago in a page builder. It needs four seconds before anything appears. On a phone the text slides under the menu. The opening hours may still be the ones from two years ago. You change nothing, because it is unclear what that costs and what breaks along the way.

That is rarely a question of looks. It happens because twenty building blocks are being carried around and eighteen of them were never needed. I build in the other direction, on my own platform, with exactly what a small business actually needs built in: a content area for articles, enquiries and redirects, an appointment calendar that already knows public holidays and your blocked times, visitor statistics without cookies, search settings for every page and a newsletter with double opt in, the way German and EU law requires it. Unsubscribing takes a single click, including the button inside Gmail and Outlook. Competitors deliver eight plugins from outside vendors, a consent window and, at the end, an invoice from Google. Everything here runs on your own server, so your site needs no cookie banner at all. The source files go to you, so you can move to someone else at any time.

What is included

  • A content area with its own sections for articles, enquiries, redirects and the newsletter, all in one place
  • An appointment calendar that works out public holidays itself and knows your blocked times
  • Visitor numbers in your own admin area, with no cookie and no Google involved
  • Search settings for every page and every language, set individually
  • One click backups, ready to download any time
  • Tested on real devices, including the old phone your customer is holding

How it works

  1. 01

    Conversation

Half an hour. Afterwards you have a number and a date, both in writing, and both cost you nothing.

  2. 02

    Draft

You see the structure, the colours and the typeface before a line of code exists. At the end you have approved a template, and I keep to it.

  3. 03

    Build

You have a test address at all times, where you can look at the current state and show it to your people.

  4. 04

    Launch

Migration, measurement, backup, walkthrough. Afterwards you have every login, the source files and a site you can look after yourself.

Questions about websites

What does a website cost?

A fixed price sits in the quote before we start, not an estimate, and the quote itself costs you nothing. A small company site usually lands in the low four figures, a multilingual site with an editing area above that. If your budget is smaller, I tell you what it buys.

How long does it take?

The date is fixed in the quote before you say yes, not an estimate afterwards. What shifts it most often is missing text and photos, not the technical work. Tell me in advance if a date is set in stone.

Can I change the site myself later?

Yes, and without me. You log in and change text, images and blog posts. The walkthrough takes half an hour, and you cannot break anything that cannot be undone.

What happens to my old site?

Your places on Google stay, because I redirect every old address to the new one. Before that I look at the old site and tell you whether a repair is cheaper than a rebuild. Sometimes it is.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Not with me. Fonts, images and scripts sit on your own server, there is no third party service reading along. With no cookies there is nothing for anyone to agree to.

Tell me about your business

Two sentences are enough. You get an assessment and a price direction, both free. If I am the wrong person for you, I say that too.
